One of the most significant custom of the Jewish during weddings is a Ketubah. This can be closely compared to signing of contract which must be signed by the married couple in from of the witnesses or the rabbi.

Aside from symbolizing a wedding, the Jewish Ketubah was first created to protect the mother and the child’ life in the future. It willt ake care of the wife in a way of financial stability in case something not good happens in the future such as the marriage going through a divorce or separation.

It is important for the Ketubah to be carefully thought out besides its artwork and designs. This will really play a significant part not only in your married life but also your memory of the start of it which will start on your wedding ceremony. Though the Ketubah text is not put on priority the way the designs and artworks is but, you should now that it isequally important.

You will be keeping your Ketubah or marriage contract forever. This means that aside from wanting it to look perfectly, you must also make sure that the text includes what you really want to say and that it is well written. In addition, the rabbi must approve it. Before coming up with your final Ketubah text, it is highly recommended that you ask advice from your rabbi.

If you are trying to find one, there are hundreds of Ketubah that you can buy online. By doing this, you can choose from hundreds of designs. Be sure to have adequate reading so that you hand an idea of what is out there. It is important to keep in mind that once you find Ketubah that you and your partner love, you must go to your rabbi who will officiate and ask for advice.

One problem you might encounter with this type of contract is finding a Ketubah with the design that you and your partner loves but the artist has chosen to put a different text. In this case, all you have to do is to ask the artist to make a new one with the same the same and with the text that you want. You can always write your own if you both can’t find a Ketubah that you like. You and your partner can have a special bonding and intimate moment when writing for your Ketubah since you will be doing it together.

When doing this, you can ask help from your rabbi to translate the text for you since the usual writing used in Ketubah is not English or any other modern, but Hebrew.
